Euroweb Romania upgraded its SIP voice network
Euroweb Romania upgraded its SIP voice network (Eurovoice) to a distributed, multiple-site architecture located in three cities, Bucharest, Timisoara and Iasi. By deploying this self-organizing architecture is now possible to increase the availability of the provided voice services, by eliminating downtimes related to communications' packet-loss or Internet connectivity failures. The voice traffic can now be automatically rerouted between any of the mentioned location, in a short notice and without major engineering works which were necessary prior to this upgrade.
"Without human supervision, our SIP network is today able to automatically recover from outages like loss of network connectivity; moreover, after this upgrade we are able to efficiently make use of all available system's core hardware - in a perfect load balancing fashion. Getting many switching instances to work as one big system is what we achieved using SIP Thor product from AG Projects", says Euroweb's CTO Claudiu Amortoaie.
